“Our mission is to ensure that people in all environments including homes, businesses, schools, and even hospitals, breathe clean air, drink clean water, and reduce food waste,” said Junichi Somei, founder and CEO of Kaltech. “To effectively improve the quality of life of our users, Kaltech will continue to offer innovative products that should be used in every household and beyond.”
Unlike traditional HEPA (physical absorption) filters commonly used in air purifiers, Kaltech’s photocatalytic filter absorbs and breaks down tiny bacteria and viruses in the air with a reusable filter. It is possible that viruses and bacteria collected by HEPA filters survive in the filter and cannot break down bad odors. Kaltech’s photocatalytic filter instantly breaks down viruses, bacteria and bad smells, creating clean air through the powerful oxidizing power of visible LED light and proprietary photocatalyst technology.
“At Kaltech, our goal is to provide a lifestyle and a sense of security that doesn’t bother the user,” said Somei. “Our products appeal to all five senses to ensure the best possible experience.”
